ABOUT GARY NASTU

Gary Nastu created his "new acting system to use technique" from the personal instruction and training from some of the best acting teachers in Los Angeles

Gary has been teaching his acting technique and classes for over fifteen years. Gary has worked as an Actor, Assistant Director, Casting Director and Cameraman. His credits include Films, Television, and Theater in Los Angeles as well as locally. Gary is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Gary studied acting at U.C.L.A. and privately with Don Richardson, (who wrote “Acting without Agony”); He studied with Film and Television Director Harry Mastrogeroge and Sal Dano. Gary is very proud to say he was a student and friend of George Shdanoff, who Michael Chekhov’s book, “To the Actor” is dedicated too! Gary also studied with Estelle Harman, Ari Barak and Jeff Garrard at the Estelle Harman Actors Workshop in Hollywood, California. Gary was employed by the Estelle Harman Actors Workshop for over eight years as an Assistant Director, Cameraman and almost every aspect of Television production. He also worked with various production crews for Commercial, Movie and Television shoots while living in Los Angeles.

Mr. Nastu is the owner of Next Stop NY! Acting for TV, Film and Stage in Fairfield, Connecticut. He has coached and taught acting locally in Fairfield since 2002. His classes have included Fundamental Acting through Professional Acting, Acting Technique, Scene Study, Camera Technique, Commercials, Improvisation and Cold Reading Audition. Gary Nastu was the "Director of the Acting Division" at the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut in Trumbull from 2004-2008 where he created their acting program. Gary is still a current member of the PACC faculty and offers acting classes specially designed for PACC students.

Gary has taught many acting students who are working their way into the Entertainment Industry. His acting students are working and have worked with some of New York City’s Top Talent Agencies including Abrams Artists, Carson /Adler, F.B.I. Generation TV, Innovative and TalentWorks. Mr.Nastu works with his acting students’ and their Talent Agents and has a constant knowledge of what is going on in New York’s Entertainment Industry.

Gary’s students have worked on Broadway, TV, Film and Stage. They have appeared in “Inherit the Wind”, “American Girl”, “As The World Turns”, “Chapter 27”, “Dracula The Musical”, “Good Morning America”, “Nickelodeon”, “Sesame Street”, “The David Dance”, "School House Rock", “Onion News Network”, Bounty, Go Gurt, Sudafed, ING Direct, Connecticare Commercials, PSA NYC Anti-Smoking, Hasbro, "Isn"t it Delicious?", "Celebrity Ghost Stories","Two Days" and Selah Sue Music Video/Crazy Vibes.
